In October 2001, Honours Golf was selected to manage FarmLinks Golf Club. Located southeast of Birmingham, FarmLinks Golf Club is touted as the world’s first research and demonstration golf course, created by the Pursell family to test products, conduct research and educate golf course superintendents. Designed by Hurdzan-Fry, this 18-hole championship course stretches 7,444 yards from the back tees with multiple tees to accommodate golfers of all levels. It offers a diverse layout with striking views of the mountains and lakes on Pursell Farms and features dramatic elevation changes including the 210-yard, par-3 that drops 158 feet to an 8,400 square-foot green.

Golfers participate in the future of golf while playing at FarmLinks. Not only will they come across over two dozen varieties of cool and warm season grasses throughout their round, but they will experience research plots, product displays and the latest turf care equipment from FarmLink’s partners: Syngenta, Toro Company, Club Car and others.

FarmLinks Golf Club was rated No. 29 in the Golfweek’s “Top 40 New Courses" in 2005 and named to Golfweek’s top golf courses “State-By-State Public Access Courses” in Alabama earlier this year.
